Roy has worked behind the Gospel Music scene for years, composing, producing, and arranging. But with his new and timely CD, "Changing Times," he has moved to the forefront of Christian Music.
As the composer of "Mansion in the Sky," "Walking in the Light," and "He'll Be There," Roy is known as a consummate spiritual songwriter. But, as a performer who believes in the strength and message of his songs, he is dynamic and exciting.
Recognized by music leaders such as Al Brumley, Jr., Buck Owens' Buckaroos leader Jim Shaw, and Grammy nominated record producer Chris Wilde (see Reviews) for his talent and ability, Roy also brings to his music the kind of passion and commitment one would expect from Gospel Music.
Herb Peters, creator of fulfilledprophecy.com, one of the leading Christian websites, says about "Changing Times," "It is full of the Gospel." Brumley calls it "exceptional," and others are proclaiming its timeliness given the world in which we now live.
As a young boy, Roy recalls the influence that led him to the inspiration of Christian Music. And his love of traditional Gospel Music is reflected in "Amazing Grace," which serves as an intro to "Mansion in the Sky."
With his roots squarely in his Christian faith, he recognized early the ministry and calling of his God given talent. He considers it a blessing to be a part of the musical mosaic that comprises the wonderful world of today's Gospel Music.
